Job Title:Floating Regulated Pharmacy Technician

Location:Travelling Position (Ontario wide - company vehicle provided)

Reports to:Operations Manager

Type:Full Time Permanent

Salary:Hourly, commensurate with experience

Job Responsibilities

  • Travelling/driving to and providing pharmacy technician relief coverage in Medical Pharmacies stores throughout Ontario
  • Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions
  • Maintain patient and drug information files
  • Ensure that a prescriptions are complete and authentic
  • Gather all necessary information, ensure completeness of information
  • Confirm accuracy and completeness of pharmaceutical products prepared for release
  • Perform the final check of prepared prescriptions

Qualifications

  • Accreditation as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician in good standing and adherence to the Standards of Practice with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Minimum 1 year full time experience as a Regulated Technician
  • Must have active full driver’s license in Ontario and produce a clean driver’s abstract; company vehicle will be provided
  • Requires extensive travel Ontario wide, including overnight stays
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy and productivity
  • Reliability, strong communication, customer service, initiative, team work, interpersonal skills are essential
  • Kroll data entry and long term care pharmacy experience are strong assets
