Job Title: Service Technician / Field Equipment Cleaner
Location: Ottawa, ON
Reports to: Supervisor, Mobility Service
No. of Positions: 1
Type: Permanent, Full Time , Evening , Occasional days
Salary: Hourly, commensurate with experience

Job Responsibilities

  • Follow technical procedures to perform installation, this includes cleaning / decontamination repair & maintenance, and hardware upgrade at customer sites, performing the upgrade and testing / validating each mobility device serviced
  • Travel to multiple locations and interact with customer representatives in a positive, professional, helpful manner that results in a positive experience for the customer
  • Maintain accurate, useful and complete service records
  • Complete paperwork, documentation and administrative tasks per policy
  • Maintain inventory records
  • Record and report internal use items
  • Report all deficiencies to the supervisor
  • Record item lot numbers, serial numbers and expiry dates identified on mobility items being serviced
  • Ensure that cleaning equipment is maintained in good working order at all times
  • Perform general cleaning duties
  • Adhere to, and follow all on site safety rules and policies at OMS as well as those on customer sites
  • Performs any other duties or projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Completion of high school
  • Minimum 6 months full time working experience in a health care  environment preferred but not required
  • Health and safety training is an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 35 kilograms
  • Bilingual in English and French is preferred but not essential
  • Candidates must demonstrate basic mathematics, attention to detail, sound judgment, computer literacy, time management skills and initiative
  • Vulnerability sector check and criminal record check
  • Must have active full driver’s license in Ontario and produce a clean driver’s abstract; company vehicle will be provided
  • Requires extensive travel Ontario-wide
