Job Title: Delivery Supervisor

Location: Ontario Medical Supply (OMS) – Algoma Rd. location, Ottawa

Reports to: Director - Infusion, Medical Supplies and Equipment

No. of Positions: 1

Type: Full time, permanent

Salary: Salaried, commensurate with experiences

Job Responsibilities

The Delivery Supervisor oversees delivery services, including an internal and sub-contracted delivery/courier team as well as dispatch.

  • Supervision of the delivery team including onboarding, training, relevant company policy & procedure and performance management
  • Prepares weekly delivery schedules
  • Review and approval employee schedules, payroll time sheets, paid and unpaid time off
  • Monthly reporting to management
  • Facilitates team meetings
  • Ensures that all drivers adhere to the dress code and facilitates the order/supply of uniforms
  • Assists dispatchers in peak periods
  • Addresses customer service concerns and inquiries with other members of the OMS team
  • Reviews driver performance
  • Reviews and completes “Vehicle Inspection Form” weekly
  • Conducts random quality control audits for delivery and service orders
  • Initiates corrective measures and monitors for compliance
  • Reviews delivery statistics per company per driver/area
  • Monitors rental pump pickups on a daily basis
  • Monitors outstanding rental equipment pickups on a weekly basis or daily basis when necessary
  • Monitors cost per delivery and ensure to operate an efficient delivery services without compromising quality of service
  • Schedules maintenance for delivery vehicles
  • Ensures that all company vehicles have the proper company logo, ID
  • Ensures vehicles and work areas are kept clean and organized
  • Ensures all vehicles have an infection control kit
  • Ensures vehicles are serviced at regular intervals and that all licences and insurance forms are in the vehicles and current
  • Maintains current Driver Abstracts, Proof of Insurance and Criminal Records check

Qualifications

  • Completion of Post-Secondary Education in a related field of study
  • Minimum 3 years full time supervisory experience in a delivery environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook is required
  • Health and safety training is an asset
  • Candidates must demonstrate attention to detail, sound judgment, time management skills and initiative
