Job Title: Clinical Support Nurse (RN)

Location: Ottawa, ON

Reports to: Vice President, Infusion Services

No. of Positions: 1

Type: Full time Permanent

Salary: Hourly, commensurate with experience

Job Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to provide clinical support to Community Care agencies employees, managers and clients.

  • Support internal Customer Service Centre for day to day clinical inquires from clients on Home Infusion, Wound Care, Urinary, Ostomy, Respiratory and Enteral Feeding products. Clients include Community Care Coordinators, Service Providers and Patients
  • Work with Department Managers to establish and maintain appropriate referral of inquiries
  • Provide product training to employees
  • Liaise with Community Care Project Managers for clinical/product issues and various projects
  • Support product development initiatives
  • Coordinate client product training with various manufacturers
  • Develop tools to support quality of services e.g. brochures, internal/external resource and training documents, presentations
  • Conduct occasional home visits e.g. new TPN clients
  • Stays abreast of advances in wound care and infusion therapy

Qualifications

  • Requirement to be licensed and in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Minimum 1 year in direct care provision experience
  • Experience in Community Care environment required
  • Experience with wound care and infusion therapy
  • Proficiency in the use of Word, Excel, Power Point and use of an iPad
  • Ability to travel provincially
  • Ability to be on-call on a rotation basis
  • Ability to work independently required
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
