Job Title: Clinical Data Coordinator

Location: Markham, ON

Reports to: Director, Clinical Research

No. of Positions: 1

Type: Full time permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and help conduct quantitative analyses
  • Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals or for use in further research projects
  • Produce newsletters and other documents to provide information to internal staff, our LTC partners and to the general public
  • Plan, organize and conduct research in conjunction with health projects or programs for our Long Term Care (LTC) homes
  • Design and develop plans/guidelines for projects, programs and/or studies to outline research procedures
  • Maintain, update and manage an internal health information database
  • Identify and screen potential LTC homes for participation in studies/projects, gathering informed consents from participants
  • Schedule appointments for educational sessions with physicians and nursing staff and administration
  • Update and actively engage with research team and clinical providers throughout the research process/quality improvement project to ensure projects meet timelines
  • Review medical charts and conducting data abstraction
  • Collect and analyze data on a variety of projects including interpreting statistical information collected from our LTC homes
  • Write and coordinate project documentation, communication, project schedules and timelines under the direction of the Director, Clinical Research
  • Monitor and evaluate programs/initiatives currently being rolled out at our LTC homes
  • Assess compliance/adherence to project initiatives and identify remedial action if necessary
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments of health projects and programs
  • Provide services and support to our LTC homes in conjunction with ongoing projects/initiatives

Qualifications

  • Degree in health, pharmacy, social science or an administrative discipline is required
  • Experience with database management as well as pharmacy dispensary software (e.g. Kroll).
  • 3-5 of experience in the health care field with preference given to Long Term Care experience
  • Ability to travel provincially
