Our pharmacy locations in medical buildings promote interaction with other healthcare professionals. Through our clinical service to long term care facilities our pharmacists are integral members of their healthcare teams.

Our business model is focused on providing pharmacy care through prescriptions and clinical services. We are a pure pharmacy operation, we don’t carry sundry merchandise.

We support participation in pharmacy professional organizations and health related associations. Medical Pharmacies’ people have been past chairs of the Ontario Pharmacist Association, Canadian Society of Consultant Pharmacists and the Ontario Chain Drug Association, directors of the Canadian Association of Chain Drug Stores, Canadian Pharmacists Association, Rx Canada and members of many others.

Clinical Consulting

We provide pharmacy services outside the store environment in long term care homes, group homes and other healthcare settings. Our clinical consultant pharmacists work in partnership with the medical, nursing and administrative staff to provide comprehensive services from consulting on the medication management system to solving concerns about individual medications. As an integral member of the healthcare team, they provide optimum therapy in a wide variety of healthcare settings.

Business Management

For pharmacists interested in business management, you have the opportunity to apply for head office positions in pharmacy operations, pharmacy systems, professional affairs, marketing, information technology and purchasing.

SYSTEMS TRAINING AND SUPPORT
We provide ongoing training for both computer applications and store processes for both long term care and retail. A fully equipped training room at head office mimics the systems in a true store location.  Follow-up reviews and in-store visits are conducted on a regular basis.

Our Information Technology department provides 24/7 Computer Support for all computer applications used in our stores.

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT AND TRAINING
We provide ongoing educational support with company sponsored continuing education Sundays. We encourage other continuous learning opportunities and specialization development.
