Medication in the Elderly, an accredited community college continuing education course from Medical Pharmacies, is offered again in September 2009
Recognizing the need, Medical Pharmacies’ Certified Geriatric Pharmacists have developed and are teaching this course for RNs & RPNs. This course will focus on:
- medications commonly prescribed for older adults
- medication formulations and age-related changes affecting their use
- recognizing and reporting adverse drug reactions
- dealing with medication incidents
- practical methods to assist elderly with taking their medications properly
